Job Summary:

Responsible for the development and execution of a digital first, fully integrated multichannel marketing strategy for the Malaysia and Singapore business (that follows, informs, and supports the region wide marketing strategy) with the aim of raising brand awareness and brand reach, driving sales, new customer acquisition, customer retention and brand loyalty.

To direct the efforts of the marketing department ensuring that all stated objectives, aims, and targets are met, and lead to the overall Company goal and regional marketing function.

To support the Managing Director in developing and executing the overall Visual Merchandising planning and strategy across retail channels to enhance brand identity, launch campaigns, improve customer engagement and drive sales. This role requires a combination of creative vision and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments.
  • Lead the execution of brand and trade marketing campaigns from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration.
  • Analyse customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies.
  • Provide valuable local insight into the regional marketing strategy and execution.
  • Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics.
  • Partner with Digital marketing, performance marketing and E-commerce teams to design, test and evolve marketing activity.
  • Provide the planning and leadership to the Marketing department by ensuring that the appropriate structures, systems, competencies, and values are developed in order to meet and exceed the goals of the local and regional Marketing plan.
  • Assume overall responsibility for developing the annual brand plan for Malaysia and Singapore for strategic category planning; market research programmes; communication activities, and control of the marketing budget.
  • Participate in global and regional Marketing forums, meetings and presentations.
  • Conceptualize and execute on multi-channel campaigns across the prospect and customer lifecycle, ensuring the alignment of communications and messaging across all channels.
  • Manage content and updates for customer and internal touch points, establishing budget guidelines, participating in events, documenting business processes, and providing additional sales support.
  • Gather customer and market insights to inform outreach strategies, increase customer conversions, and generate more qualified leads.
  • Identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis and optimize accordingly. Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, and budget.
  • Develop and manage effective relationships with all internal and external stakeholders and/or 3rd party vendors/supports (Digital, PR, Advertising, Packaging, research etc.) including Management of all 3rd party expenditure and brand communication.
  • Maintain the Brand positioning ensuring consistency with Group marketing strategy but allowing innovation & creativity to meet the needs of the local market.
  • Working in partnership with the creative team, develop creative briefs and guide creative direction to meet objectives for all in-store Visual Merchandising, advertising and public-facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets.
  • Stay ahead of market trends, customer preferences, competitor activities to introduce fresh and innovative merchandising concepts. Adjust strategies as needed to maximize ROI and achieve business goals.
  • Develop and promote cross-functional relationships and communications at all levels throughout the Company.
  • Work closely with the company’s Wholesale personnel; enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials and presentations.
  • Manage, inspire and motivate line reports to achieve targets, add value and deliver quality creative solutions. Creating a culture where colleagues own and take pride in their own performance.
  • Develop and mentor line reports encouraging personal development and enhancement of skill levels, ensuring that training and development takes place where appropriate.
  • Carry out from time to time and as directed, any other duties as required in addition to the above

  • Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets and manage budgets.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Marketing function and Brand Management with demonstrated success, preferably within Retail industry with aspirational brands.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing
