Your Job

We are looking for a data-driven Audience Development & Growth Head in Malaysia to spearhead our user acquisition and retention strategies while managing the editorial team at Hello Doktor. This role combines content strategy, SEO expertise, and CRM management to build and nurture our health & wellness-focused audience. You'll be responsible for creating scalable growth frameworks that drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention through strategic content initiatives and personalized user journeys.

Your Key Responsibilities:

User Growth Strategy & Implementation

  • Design and execute comprehensive growth strategies spanning SEO, content, and CRM channels
  • Build and optimize user acquisition funnels through organic and owned channels
  • Develop automated email and push notification workflows to drive user activation and retention
  • Create and manage personalized content journeys based on user segments and behaviors
  • Set and achieve quarterly user growth targets across key metrics (MAU, WAU, DAU)

SEO Leadership & Content Strategy

  • Lead technical SEO initiatives, including category architecture, internal linking, and content optimization
  • Develop data-driven content strategies based on keyword research and user intent
  • Coordinate with development teams on technical SEO implementations and improvements
  • Monitor and analyze SEO performance metrics to identify growth opportunities
  • Train and guide the content team on SEO best practices and content optimization

CRM & User Engagement

  • Design and implement user lifecycle marketing programs
  • Create segmentation strategies based on user behaviour, preferences, and engagement patterns
  • Develop personalized communication strategies across email, push, and in-app channels
  • Build retention programs targeting different user cohorts and engagement levels
  • Analyze user journey data to optimize conversion and retention rates

Leadership, Management & Strategy

  • Communicate company vision and provide clear direction to the team
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and communicate the audience strategy
  • Support commercial teams in developing and executing client content strategies
  • Recruit, train, and manage the editorial and SEO teams, fostering their growth and development
  • Oversee the daily operations of the content and SEO teams, ensuring efficient processes and quality output
  • Manage editorial budgets and make final publishing decisions

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in growth, SEO, or CRM roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position
  • Proven track record of driving significant user growth through organic channels
  • Deep expertise in SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console) and analytics platforms
  • Experience with CRM platforms and email marketing tools
  • Strong understanding of user acquisition metrics, funnel optimization, and cohort analysis
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills
  • Fluent in English and local language (Bahasa Malaysia) with strong writing abilities
