Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in evaluating and implementing corporate proposals and/ or funding and capital raising proposals in line with corporate strategy, including conduct and review of desktop valuation of companies.
  • Conduct and review desktop valuation of companies to ensure that a reasonable valuation of target companies is achieved using various valuation methodologies, where needed.
  • Develop financial model including cashflows, P&L and balance sheets for purposes of valuation and due diligence.
  • Arrange and gather market intelligence from financial institutions and other sources for UEM based on strategic direction and analysis of business requirements, cashflow forecast, etc. This will include negotiating for best terms and structure in accordance with legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Update and ensure all corporate finance activities are implemented in compliance new requirements of Bursa Malaysia, Securities Commission and other regulatory/ statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate activities with internal cross-functional teams and external stakeholders (i.e., investment bankers, lawyers, company secretaries, auditors and tax advisors).
  • Assist with preparation of management or Board papers on corporate proposals and/ or funding and capital raising proposals to be reviewed by immediate supervisor.
  • Assist in annual rating review and/ or upgrading of credit rating for UEM.
  • Assist in the preparation of Sustainability Report.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Engineering, Accounting, Banking or Business-Related Studies with at least a minimum of 10 years relevant working experience.
  • Professional certification is a plus (CFA ACCA, CIMA).
  • Independent, reliable and meticulous in work approach
  • Strong analytical and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Committed, confident, determined, self-motivated and a team player.
  • Familiar with ESG, local and international sustainability framework including but not limited to the Securities Commission’s Sustainable and Responsible Investment Sukuk Framework.
