POSITION PURPOSE This position is responsible for the project “Heat Care at SEACO“ funded by Wellcome Trust. The purpose of this study is to implement and evaluate behavioural and structural (cool roof) heat adaptation interventions to help manage the health effects of heat. To accomplish this goal, the study will employ design research, causal impact research, and elucidating pathways of effectiveness and cost-effectiveness. Reporting Line: The position reports to the principal investigator and SEACO Director Supervisory Responsibilities: Not Applicable Financial Delegation: Yes, in accordance with the University delegation’s schedule Budget Responsibilities: Yes KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Support the project in monitoring the implementation of all components of the project and ensuring milestone completion In charge of scheduling a monthly meeting throughout the project. To ensure good governance, coordination, and communication of the project and stakeholders To ensure that all deliverables are completed and milestones are reached in a timely manner To establish an internal project platform to share crucial project information with all partners (includes key project documents, milestones, and timelines). Monitor the cash flow (including cheque transactions / requisitions / reimbursements / field team payment) of project grants. Checking on the Profit & Loss report prepared by the Finance department, keeping track of the utilisation of project grants. Assist project staff on finance related matters (claims, salary advance etc.), assist in arranging the staff international travel and ensure it is within the budget & assist the project grant in planning and reviewing the budget. Ensure credit application form / agreements with suppliers are attended promptly by getting approval with Campus solicitor / Finance unit. Closely liaise with the purchasing unit to ensure procurement of various projects are completed within the stipulated time-frame and budget and comply with the campus’s procurement rules. Any other tasks assigned. KEY SELECTION CRITERIA Education / Qualifications The candidate will have: Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant field and community-based research experience or equivalent experience Extensive administrative experience or project management experience An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Knowledge and Skills Strong personal skills to build relationship with staff, community members and mentor data collectors. Proven ability to work independently under broad supervision, and lead project teams to achieve targets without compromising quality. Resourceful and possess strong organization and time management skills to coordinate multiple projects and allocate resources accordingly. Excellent writing and communication skills in English Desirable criteria Ability to learn new techniques and upgrade knowledge.
