We are currently seeking a Engineering Manager/Project Manager to join our team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

About The Job

  • Accountable for project delivery and Profit & Loss by managing all project activities and Resources while ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Coordinates engineering activities in charge of design and requisitioning of an entire facility (whole project or portion of project) up to the scheduled completion, in accordance with T.EN QHSES corporate policies, contractual commitments (design data, codes, classes etc.), schedule and budget.
  • Critically reviews interfaces between disciplines and/or project stakeholders.
  • Deals with both technical and economical/scheduling aspects of project change orders.
  • Supporting Company in meeting Corporate Strategic Objectives such as Energy Transition, LNG, Sustainability Chemistry, Hydrogen and Carbon Capture.
  • Provide assistance to Tendering Department as Proposal Manager.
  • Responsible and accountable for project quality, cost and schedule.
  • Organize and manage a team of multi-discipline engineers, designers and subcontractors
  • Fully committed to Quality and HSE Policy.
  • Supports and implements Risk Management initiatives.
  • Understands contract requirements and translates them into project Execution Plan and Project Procedures.
  • Defines project milestones, execution objectives and strategy.
  • Finalizes the list of applicable Project Procedures.
  • Reviews and approves necessary Project procedures.
  • Organizes and chairs project kick-off meeting and progress meetings.
  • Focal point for Client interfaces.
  • Ensures that the project is manned with sufficient and competent manpower resources.
  • Ensures that the office facilities (IT Hardware/Systems, project office space, etc.) required for project execution are made available.
  • Approves sub-contract to third parties.
  • Approves project deliverables, timesheets and invoices.
  • Approves Change Notices and Design Basis Deviations
  • Produces weekly and monthly progress reports
  • Promotes teamwork within the project task force/ team
  • Prepares Project Close-Out Report
  • Endorses weekly timesheets of personnel working in project task force/ team.
  • Represents Technip towards clients, partners, subcontractors and vendors for technical subjects and may contribute to business development initiatives by reporting information or suggestion to Project manager.
  • Ensures technical project execution within time and budget by coordinating and supervising project


engineers and engineering resources, managing risks, opportunities, changes, and monitoring compliance with Technip QHSES requirements and contractual commitments.

  • Defines engineering coordination procedures, issues the basic data for design, and approves general project specifications.
  • Ensures timely approval of engineering and requisitioning documents from the client, as well as timely technical and economical definition of change orders and/or claims.
  • Contributes to schedule preparation, actively controls schedule execution and proposes corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensures timely internal and external reporting on engineering / requisitioning activities to project manager and client.
  • Contributes to respect of material and man/hours budget by proposing optimized technical solutions.
  • Ensures coordination of interfaces among engineering disciplines and with procurement, construction, vendors, licensors, and partners.
  • Contributes to defining and coordinating the permitting process with local authorities to obtain approval on engineering documents.


Starting Date: Immediately

About you:

  • Must have : Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in oil & gas and/or petrochemical industries.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in performing PM capacity in medium to large size projects.
  • Good interpersonal skill and communication
