RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY a) To review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints or work orders to determine bending requirements. b) To select appropriate material (e.g, metal sheet, pipes, rods) and ensure they are prepared for bending. c) To setup, calibrate and operate bending machinery such as press brakes, tube benders or roll benders. d) To adjust machine setting (e.g, angles, press, speed) to achieve precise bends e) To monitor machinery during operation to ensure quality and safety. f) To inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards. g) To use measuring tool (e.g, calipers, protractors, rulers) to verify dimensions and angles. h) To identify and correct defects or inconsistencies in the bending process. i) To perform routine maintenance on bending equipment to ensure optimal performance. j) To diagnose and resolve mechanical issues with machinery. k) To follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). l) To work closely with engineers, designers and other team members to ensure project requirement are met. m) To provide feedback on design feasibility and suggest improvements. QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: a) High school diploma or equivalent, technical training or certification in metalworking or machining is a plus. b) 3+ years of experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing or a related field is preferred. c) Capable of standing for long periods and lifting heavy materials. d) Ability to trouble machinery and resolve issues during the bending process. e) High level of precision to ensure accurate bends and measurements. f) Proficiency in operating bending machinery and tools. g) Knowledge of material properties and their behavior under stress. h) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprint.
