Store Keeper

Job Title: Shopkeeper Key Responsibilities: Sales & Stock Management: - Monitor stock levels and ensure products are well-displayed and organized. - Restock shelves regularly to ensure the store is fully stocked and appealing to customers. - Place orders for new stock and maintain relationships with suppliers. - Track sales trends and adjust stock and promotional strategies accordingly. Store Maintenance: - Ensure that the store is clean, organized, and safe for both staff and customers. - Manage the arrangement of store layout, including product placement and signage to maximize sales. - Oversee the proper labeling of products, including pricing and product details. Staff Supervision: - Supervise and train store staff, ensuring they provide excellent customer service and adhere to store policies. - Schedule shifts and manage day-to-day staff activities. - Conduct performance evaluations and address any staff issues or concerns. Inventory Control: - Track stock movement and maintain accurate records of inventory. - Perform regular inventory counts and address any discrepancies. - Ensure that stock is stored properly and products are well-maintained. . Compliance: - Ensure the store complies with all legal requirements, including health and safety regulations. - Ensure that all licensing and permits are up to date and comply with local laws. Skills & Qualifications: - Proven experience in retail or customer service. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Knowledge of inventory management systems is a plus. - Basic computer skills, including familiarity with POS systems. Physical Requirements: - Ability to stand for long periods of time. - Ability to lift and carry stock items (typically up to 25-50 lbs).
