Senior Cloud Engineer

Role Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer with 8+ years of experience in building, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure across multiple platforms including Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate should have a strong expertise in infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, containerization with Kubernetes, and observability with Grafana. Experience with CI/CD pipeline development and GitHub integration is crucial. This role will be key to delivering highly scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on GCP and AWS platforms. Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning using Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC). Implement and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and related tools (e.g., Helm, Kustomize). Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and continuous integration using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions. Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and security using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and CloudWatch. Collaborate with software engineering teams to ensure smooth and secure integration of cloud infrastructure into the development workflow. Provide technical guidance, best practices, and support for cloud-based projects. Participate in architecture and design discussions to ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of cloud solutions. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for cloud security, data privacy, and disaster recovery. Stay up to date with the latest developments and trends in cloud technologies, and propose improvements to existing systems. Required Skills & Qualifications: 8+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, specifically with GCP and AWS. Strong expertise in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management. Deep understanding and experience working with Kubernetes for container orchestration and management. Hands-on experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines. Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and CloudWatch. Solid knowledge of cloud security best practices and cost optimization strategies. Proficiency in version control systems like Git (GitHub preferred). Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex cloud environments. Strong communication skills and experience working in collaborative team environments. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS) (e.g., GCP Professional Cloud Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect). Familiarity with serverless architecture and tools like Google Cloud Functions or AWS Lambda. Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems. Knowledge of Helm and Istio for Kubernetes-based application management.
