OPERATOR - FURNACE

- Experience on casting line (handling molten metal) is preferred - To operate the machine safely, within the quality requirement, optimize recovery and to achieve targeted production output. • Responsible for individual caster and helper on furnace operation. • Releasing metal out from HF for start-up CC & Ingot maker • Transferring metal out from MF to HF if needed. • Responsible for quality and maintaining casting parameter as per supervisor Instruction. • Process observation (casting parameters, metal level, metal temperature) • Completion of production coil (cutting, welding and lifting storage) • Monitoring tube filter operations, cleanliness and life • Stopping caster (preparations) • Monitoring spraying system and condition of preparations and feeding tank level. • Arranging ingot mould preparations • Metal drain scrap handling by overhead crane. • Cast coil handling by overhead crane. • Arranging ingot making from mould to loading bay. • Ingot mould preparations and stopping. • Thickness, width and coil build up measurement. • Surface top and bottom monitoring (without defect) • Monitor casting quality as per standard. • Inspection quality of ingot mould as weight and physical shape of ingot. • Maintaining 5’S system • General housekeeping. • Machine cleaning. • Coordination with furnaces operator. • Issuing work order and work permit. • Coordination with Supervisor related operation and man power issued. • Production in-process records as coil record, production record, observation quality record, ingot record and etc. • Start-up CC and Ingot preparation. • Pass line and roll gap setting. • Tip setting and equipment preheating. • Tools and foundry material preparation. • Fabrication and repair foundry equipment's.
