Job summary: Oversee the regular maintenance and repairs of the factory building, machinery, and equipment to ensure operational continuity. Job description: 1. Facility Maintenance: Oversee the regular maintenance and repairs of the factory building, machinery, and equipment to ensure operational continuity. Manage preventative maintenance schedules for all facility-related systems (HVAC, lighting, plumbing, electrical, etc.). Coordinate emergency repairs as needed to minimize operational downtime. 2. Utilities Management: Monitor the consumption of utilities (electricity, water, gas) and ensure efficient use of resources to reduce costs and environmental impact. Coordinate with utility providers to resolve issues and manage billing and contracts. 3. Facility Operations: Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the factory premises, including waste management and proper disposal of hazardous materials. Manage the logistics of factory space utilization, ensuring optimal organization and efficiency. Coordinate the setup of new production lines, equipment installations, and other facility-related projects. 4. Vendor and Contractor Management: Source and manage vendors and contractors for services related to the facility (cleaning, security, maintenance, etc.). Ensure that service contracts are adhered to, and contractors meet agreed-upon terms. 5. Budget and Cost Control: Assist in preparing and managing the budget for the facility’s operations and maintenance. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives related to facility management. Track and report on facility-related expenses and ensure compliance with budget allocations. 6. Team Management and Coordination: Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance and facility staff, ensuring effective teamwork and task prioritization. Provide training and guidance to facility personnel regarding equipment operation, safety procedures, and best practices. 7. Facility Upgrades and Projects: Plan and oversee upgrades, renovations, or expansions of the factory facility as required to meet production demands or compliance standards. Manage facility-related projects from conception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. 8. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure the factory facility meets all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Conduct regular inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies. Ensure the proper functioning of fire safety systems, emergency exits, and first aid supplies.
