Scientist, Technical Service and Application Development

The key responsibilities of this role includes but are not limited to the following • Involvement and contribution to the planning, set up and execution of the research work. • Bears scientific and technical responsibility for the execution of the (experimental) program and the agreed timing/deadlines, including reporting of results. • Demonstrated ability to develop new research, “design of experiment” (DOE). • Develop solutions for the target markets to use Cariflex products including polymer modification, compound formulation and processing recommendation • Develop or establish characterization and test methods for Cariflex products and applications with a focus on polymer and latex rheological characteristics. • Assess competitive technologies and products. • Monitor innovation trends in the industry segment Cariflex is active in and assess feasibility using Cariflex products or application into Cariflex’s technology. • Translation and localization of new product technologies from R&D across regions and specific customer requirements. • Engage with internal stakeholders on product, innovation and market development activities. • Coordinate customer product regulatory, health and safety requirements and liaise with Cariflex departments e.g. manufacturing, customer fulfillment, sales/marketing and third party service providers on Cariflex’s product regulatory requirements.
