Accountant
1. *Financial Reporting and Compliance:*
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement) in compliance with *Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS)* and *International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)*.
- Ensure timely submission of financial reports to management, shareholders, and regulatory bodies such as the *Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN)* and *Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM)*.
2. *Bookkeeping and General Ledger Management:*
- Record daily financial transactions, including invoices, bills, and receipts, ensuring all transactions are accurately reflected in the company’s accounts.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Maintain up-to-date general ledger accounts and perform regular reconciliations.
3. *Taxation and Statutory Compliance:*
- Prepare and file corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with *Malaysia’s tax laws* (e.g., *SST*, corporate income tax, and other relevant taxes).
- Assist in managing tax audits and liaise with *LHDN* for tax queries and compliance issues.
- Keep updated with changes in *Malaysian tax regulations* and recommend adjustments to the company’s tax strategy.
4. *Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial Planning:*
- Assist in preparing the company’s annual budget and financial forecasts, including monthly cash flow projections.
- Analyze financial data to provide insights for decision-making and cost-saving measures.
- Monitor budget variances and report deviations to management.
5. *Audit and Internal Controls:*
- Support external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary financial documents and explanations.
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Conduct regular reviews of financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
6. *Payroll and Employee Benefits:*
- Handle payroll accounting, ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursement to employees.
- Ensure compliance with statutory contributions like *EPF (Employees Provident Fund), **SOCSO (Social Security Organization), and **PCB (Potongan Cukai Bulanan)*.
7. *Collaboration and Cross-functional Support:*
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., HR, procurement, and operations) to ensure financial alignment and cost control.
- Assist in preparing reports for board meetings, management reviews, and external stakeholders.
8. *Software and Tools:*
- Use accounting software such as *SQL Accounting, AutoCount, or MYOB* to manage financial records.
- Maintain proficiency in *Microsoft Excel* for financial analysis and reporting.
### *Additional Skills Required:*
- *Knowledge of Malaysian Taxation and Financial Regulations:* Deep understanding of Malaysia’s tax laws and regulations, including SST, corporate tax, and personal income tax.
- *Attention to Detail:* Ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with Malaysian statutory requirements.
- *Communication Skills:* Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both internal teams and external authorities (e.g., LHDN, auditors).
