Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior quantity surveyors in preparing cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
- Support the procurement process by preparing tender documents and reviewing bids.
- Measure and assess work on-site, preparing accurate and up-to-date quantities for billing and progress payments.
- Provide cost advice and assist in cost control and budget management for ongoing projects.
- Assist with contract administration, including reviewing and advising on contract terms, variations, and claims.
- Prepare and maintain project cost reports, ensuring financial records are updated regularly.
- Support the project team in all aspects of project planning, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure work is completed to specification.
- Work with other departments to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in training and development sessions to build professional skills and knowledge.
Job Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well within a team and independently.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Detail-oriented and precise with strong organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
