Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior quantity surveyors in preparing cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
  • Support the procurement process by preparing tender documents and reviewing bids.
  • Measure and assess work on-site, preparing accurate and up-to-date quantities for billing and progress payments.
  • Provide cost advice and assist in cost control and budget management for ongoing projects.
  • Assist with contract administration, including reviewing and advising on contract terms, variations, and claims.
  • Prepare and maintain project cost reports, ensuring financial records are updated regularly.
  • Support the project team in all aspects of project planning, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure work is completed to specification.
  • Work with other departments to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in training and development sessions to build professional skills and knowledge.

Job Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Detail-oriented and precise with strong organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
