Roles & Responsibilities

Network Operation Center (NOC):

The NOC Manager is responsible for overseeing the 24/7 operations of the Network Operations Center to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security of customer's network and IT infrastructure. The role includes leading a team of engineers, developing operational processes, managing incidents, and implementing performance monitoring strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise NOC staff, including engineers and associate engineers.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Develop staff schedules to ensure 24/7 coverage.

Operational Oversight:

  • Oversee daily operations of the NOC, ensuring customer tickets are handled within the SLA.
  • Develop and enforce operational procedures and policies.
  • Ensure all monitoring tools and systems are functioning correctly.

Incident & Problem Management:

  • Act as the escalation point for critical incidents, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Coordinate with other departments during major outages or crises.
  • Conduct root cause analyses for recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Design and implement performance metrics and KPIs for the NOC team.
  • Generate monthly and quarterly reports with relevant metrics for internal and specific customers.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with network, system, voice and cybersecurity teams to align strategies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior management regarding network operation matters.
  • Ensure clear documentation and communication of operational changes.

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 5+ years of experience in network operations or IT infrastructure roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, BGP).
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Cacti, Nagios, PRTG).
  • Strong analytical skill and has a flair for dealing with technical and operational problems.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes, especially incident and problem management.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Good written & verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English is added advantages.
  • This position may require occasional on-call duties during critical incidents.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, ITIL, or PMP are preferred.
