
Senior Specialist Infrastructure (Workplace)

Job purpose:
The IT Workplace/Infrastructure Senior Specialist will provide day-to-day support to employees. This includes desktop, application, project, video conferencing & telephony systems support for the organization. Responsible for deploying, maintaining, and repairing the computer and network infrastructure of Commerz Global Service Solutions. Explores technical solutions, determines the applicability to Commerz Global Service Solutions, and makes recommendations for deployment.
This IT workplace/infrastructure Senior specialist should also guide the specialist and junior specialist in the team. Should be knowledgeable about the security framework and system.
The IT workplace / infrastructure Senior specialist must be team oriented / organize their own activities, working autonomously and with full accountability.
The working hours will be 3pm - 12pm, From Monday to Friday.
Key activities (approx. 6-10)*:
Workplace Infrastructure Support
- Perform technical installation, troubleshooting, fault resolutions and/or escalations of Workplace infrastructure such as messaging, file and print, video conferencing & telephony systems and Microsoft Operating system for all Commerz Global Service Solutions users.
Workstation & Peripheral Support
- Managed end user infrastructure support/configuration covering endpoints and mobiles devices.
- Manage/Provide remote assistance for all end user application and hardware support (Microsoft 365, XenApp etc.)
- Assist in relocation of equipment within company when required
- To document all the IT related guidelines and manuals for the organization.
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
- To implement the Bank’s IT and IS standards in the organization.
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive plan to secure organization’s IT infrastructure and networking.
- Conduct and managing the local organization data security and personnel security internal control, drive employee awareness training and compliance standards for the company.
- Responsible for all incident / request ticket raised in HSPM tools are attended and close promptly based on the SLA.
- Perform preventive maintenance.
- Identifying IT security vulnerabilities in the organization’s network.
- Coordinate and/or perform penetration testing and patching
- Perform routine system tasks included hardware /s software inventory
- Ensuring all the task done by junior specialist are checked and verified if required
Servers & Network Support
- Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining network-related operating systems, applications / software / management tools.
- Perform first level support the LAN & WAN networks
- Managing and monitoring all installed network appliances, systems, and related IT infrastructure (cloud and on-premises).
- Ensuring the highest levels of network connectivity and infrastructure availability.
- Provide expertise for the overall network systems infrastructure and its support as it relates to all IT technologies.
- Monitoring network/system usage and health status in compliance with security policies.
- Handle escalations with second level support end to end.
- Provide RCA to management if requested
ADDITIONAL TASKS:
- Participate in other projects/tasks as assigned by Supervisor or manager
- Vendor management for servers/equipment managed by vendors.
- Work in BCM site if required
Formal education:
Tertiary degree and/or professional qualifications/experiences in related IT disciplines.
Specialist knowledge (work experience, further qualification):
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Microsoft OS
- Having experience in deployment/support/management for mainstream industry solutions will be added advantage. (Cisco, Firewall, Citrix, Bluecoat etc)
- Knowledge of data protection regulations when dealing with IT in own area of responsibility within the Bank
- Knowledge of IT hardware (Laptop, desktop, MFP, CCTV, video conference, interactive devices)
- Ability to work under pressure in the Banking environment
- User oriented, responsible, and able to work as a team
- Good communication in English
