OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of HR functions at the location, ensuring alignment with business objectives while supporting the company's growth and workforce needs. This includes recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, payroll and HR operational excellence to support business success.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES
- Partner with management team to build a high performing, capable and engaged workforce.
- Oversee day-to-day HR functions, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws.
- Manage payroll administration, employee records, and HR reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Sarawak labor regulations and other applicable employment laws.
- Lead recruitment and selection processes , ensuring the right talent is hired.
- Work closely with hiring managers to develop workforce plans that support business needs.
- Manage onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.
- Act as the primary HR contact for employees addressing grievances and resolving workplace issues.
- Promote a positive work culture, fostering employee motivation and engagement.
- Implement HR initiatives and engagement programs.
- Oversee the performance appraisal process.
- Work with department heads to identify training and development needs for employees.
- Support career development initiatives and succession planning efforts.
- Work closely with HR HQ to align HR strategies and policies with overall corporate goals.
- Implement HR best practices tailored to the needs, ensuring consistency with company-wide standards.
- Provide regular reports and insights to HR HQ on key HR metrics and workforce trends.
- Develop and drive employee engagement to ensure leaders and employees are role model to company core values to realize the Company’s vision.
- Oversee the smooth HR operations in the organisation including but not limited to overseeing HR systems, handling employee relations, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing budgets, assessing staffing needs, coaching, counselling and reviewing performance.
- Manage ad-hoc assignment and project as and when needed.
- To adhere to code of business conduct (COBC)
- To adhere to Deleum and the customer's QHSE requirements.
- To perform any other tasks or assignments as required by immediate supervisors and/or the management from time to time.
KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE JOB
- Knowledge in Employment Act and Industrial Act.
- At least 8-10 years experience in full HR spectrum as a HR Generalist.
- Excellent interpersonal presentation, influencing skills and ability to engage with people.
- Strong data analytics skills will be an advantage
ACADEMIC / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
- Degree in Human Resource Management.
- A member of MIHRM, SHRM or any HR professional qualifications.
