Business Development Manager
The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy.
Responsibilities
- Identify partnership opportunities screening, evaluating and developing business development projects.
- Participate in developing and managing integrated marketing plans and campaigns to identify market opportunities, with the aim of generating market share growth and customer loyalty.
- Drive innovation for generation of ideas and business development opportunities.
- Conduct economic and business assessments to ensure project viability.
- Develop recommendations for business plan and budget.
- Monitor project progress and address any issues promptly.
- Serve as the main contact for creating value for customers and end users.
- Grow local presence across products with Commercial team.
- Responsible in ensuring alignment between all stakeholders externally and internally
- Prepare and track weekly progress with Sales team and Management
- Any ad hoc tasks assign by Commercial Director or Management
Reports to: Commercial Director
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Min 3-5 years' prior industry related business development experience in shipping / logistics field
- Speaks and write good English
- Strong communication, Team-player, aggressive, analytical, independent and self-starter.
- Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
- Focused and goal-oriented
- Ability to adapt new environment and learning a new system.
- Position will be based in Glenmarie, Selangor and will be required to travel outstation according to project needs.
