The Intern – Operational Readiness, Commercial & Assurance (FPSO) will gain hands-on exposure to the key functions involved in FPO (Floating Production and Operations division. The internship provides an opportunity to learn about operational planning, commercial management, and operations assurance while working alongside industry professionals.
Through structured learning phases, the intern will be exposed to:
- FPSO Operational Readiness & Planning
- Commercial & Contractual Fundamentals
- Operations Assurance & Performance Monitoring
Responsibilities:
Operational Readiness
- Support the development of operational readiness frameworks, tracking milestones and execution of ramp-up plans
- Assist in planning and scheduling FPSO activities, including maintenance, manpower, and logistics coordination
- Learn about safety and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) fundamentals in FPSO operations.
- Gain insight of infernal and external communication including stakeholder management
- Participation in the formal safety review processes for definition of SECE’s and their performance standards, building-up to development of the Ops Safety Case
Commercial & Contractual Understanding
- Gain insights into FPSO charter agreements & O&M contracts.
- Assist in bids and proposal preparation, supporting data gathering and document structuring.
- UnderstandIing and assist in the review of Contractual KPI's pertaining to Production, Maintenance & HSSEQ.
Operations Assurance & Performance Monitoring
- Assist in tracking FPSO operational performance, identifying key challenges and improvement areas.
- Support the preparation of operational assurance reports and risk assessments.
- Gain exposure to asset integrity, maintenance strategies, and technical operations.
- FPSO Site Visit & Industry Exposure
- Observe real-world FPSO operations through an offshore visit (subject to availability and safety regulations).
- Understand key technical systems, marine operations, and safety protocols onboard an FPSO.
- Engage with professionals from Operations, Marine, HSE, and Commercial teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maritime Studies, Business, or a related field.
- Has interest in offshore oil & gas, FPSO operations, and commercial management
- Required skill(s): Good coordination skills, project management, excellent interpersonal skills, and positive learning attitude with a continuous improvement mindset and proficient in using Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
- Duration of internship: Minimum 4 months (ideal would be 6 months) - To indicate internship duration in the CV.
- Expected to start: March 2025 onwards.
- Must have Internship Letter from University.
