Job Title: Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Testing Engineer

Location: Petaling Jaya (Bandar Sri Damansara, Damansara Damai, TTDI)

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Testing Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about autonomous vehicle technology and has a strong interest in realising the goal of an autonomous vehicle, which is to practically test, debug and build an autonomous vehicle from scratch to fruition. The successful candidate will work closely with our machine learning engineers to test AV solutions and ensure data accuracy, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Drive AVs to designated test locations and set up testing equipment.
• Record and manage test data for analysis by machine learning teams.
• Perform basic maintenance and handle operational related issues.
• Operate custom AV software (no prior experience required, but familiarity with ROS software is recommended).
• Address project requirements based on client demands/preferences.
• Occasional travel to overseas locations, such as Singapore and Serbia, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience working in the automotive industry is preferred.
• University degree in computer science, engineering, information science, or a related field preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to drive a passenger car (must hold a valid driver’s license).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Basic understanding of microcontrollers, board design, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency with Linux and experience using Arduino development boards.
• Skilled in computer design software; prior experience is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
