Client advice, e.g. Providing advice on media opportunities, selling clients on new channels and amplification strategies
Business development, e.g. Find and introduce new clients Media relations
Building new journalist relationships, e.g. Researching important journalists and reaching out for an initial conversation
Managing existing journalist relationships, e.g. Coordinating interviews, managing concerns, responding promptly
Maintaining journalist databases, e.g. Managing/updating Meltwater and Hubspot databases
Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience
~5 years’ PR agency experience working on or managing client accounts
Broad industry knowledge and a wide range of media contacts across different channels
A portfolio of high quality copywriting, covering a broad range of complex topics in easily-digestible and thoughtful language, and in various structures, e.g. editorials, media release, blogs, key messages, etc.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field: public relations, media, journalism, commerce, business and/or PR qualifications from the PRCA or CIPR (Master’s degree not required but will be an advantage)
Extensive experience in writing PR content for fintech and financial services, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, engaging, and accessible content for a diverse audience. This includes creating content for press releases, editorials, thought leadership articles, and other relevant collateral.
Abilities
Strong communication skills in written and oral forms across a range of situations
Ability to distil large amounts of information into key points including performing data analysis or interpretation of figures and statistics where required
Strong research capabilities including accurately and appropriately sourcing all work
The aptitude to build a network of influencers and media commentators and connect these with different clients to fulfil commercial objectives
Outstanding organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects and portfolios, including managing up where required
Tech-Savvy & Agile Learner: Exhibits a strong capacity to swiftly comprehend and utilize new technology and processes.
Project Management:
Demonstrated ability to configure and customize project management workspaces, boards, and automations to optimize workflow efficiency and project tracking for PR campaigns (bonus if you have experience with Monday.com!)
Proven experience in planning, executing, and closing projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards, particularly in the context of PR campaigns and client deliverables.
Skilled in managing PR clients, overseeing all aspects of campaign planning, execution, and reporting, ensuring all client tasks and deadlines are meticulously tracked and met using project management tool
Proficient in leveraging project management tools to facilitate team communication, task assignment, and progress monitoring, fostering a collaborative project environment that enhances client satisfaction.
