Summary:

2. Product Development and Design Coordination:
- Collaborate with engineering teams (electrical, mechanical, industrial design) to ensure product designs are feasible, manufacturable, and cost-effective.
- Oversee the development of prototypes, including the selection of materials (plastics, metals, electrical components) and tooling specifications.
- Manage the design and testing of mechanical, electrical, and plastic components, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and industry standards.
3. Vendor & Supplier Management:
- Source and manage relationships with external vendors and suppliers for plastic injection molding, tool manufacturing, electrical components, and mechanical parts.
- Ensure quality control and on-time delivery of components and materials from suppliers and manufacturers.
- Conduct regular supplier audits and performance evaluations to maintain product quality and cost-effectiveness.
4. Cross-functional Team Leadership:
- Lead and coordinate a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and manufacturing specialists to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Hold regular project meetings, set clear deliverables, and provide guidance to the team to resolve technical and logistical challenges.
- Ensure effective communication between engineering, quality control, and production teams to align objectives and priorities.
5. Risk and Quality Management:
- Proactively identify potential risks related to tooling, material procurement, product design, or manufacturing processes and implement mitigation strategies.
- Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure that the final product meets the required specifications and standards.
- Manage testing phases for prototypes and products, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and plastic components are rigorously tested for durability, functionality, and safety.
6. Stakeholder Communication & Reporting:
- Communicate project progress, timelines, and risks to senior management and other key stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on milestones, deliverables, and budget status.
- Act as the primary point of contact for both internal teams and external clients or stakeholders.

- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that costs associated with materials, tooling, production, and testing stay within budget constraints.
- Optimize manufacturing processes and component selection to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality.
8. Post-Implementation Support:
- Oversee the post-launch phase, ensuring smooth integration of products into production lines or customer deliveries.
- Gather post-launch feedback and collaborate with the product team to make any necessary adjustments to design or functionality.
