Job Summary:

We are looking for a Junior Software Manual Tester to join our Quality Assurance (QA) team in the Banking & Financial Services domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing test cases, identifying bugs, and ensuring high-quality software applications. This role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail to validate financial applications and banking workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand business and functional requirements of banking applications (e.g., online banking, loan processing, payment systems).
  • Develop, review, and execute manual test cases based on requirements and specifications.
  • Identify, document, and report bugs and defects using defect-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
  • Perform different types of testing such as Functional, Regression, System, Integration, and UAT.
  • Validate banking transactions, workflows, and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to resolve issues.
  • Perform test data creation and maintain test documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with banking security standards and industry best practices.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by coordinating with business users.
  • Assist in creating test reports and providing test execution status updates.

  • Required Skills & Qualifications:
    • 1-2 years of experience in software testing, preferably in the banking or financial domain.
    • Strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).
    • Hands-on experience with test case design, execution, and defect reporting.
    • Knowledge of banking workflows, transactions, and financial applications is a plus.
    • Familiarity with testing tools like JIRA, TestRail, or ALM.
    • Basic understanding of SQL queries to validate data in banking databases.
    • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
    • Good communication and documentation skills.
    • Ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
    Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
    • ISTQB Foundation Level Certification.
    • Basic knowledge of automation testing (e.g., Selenium) is a plus.
    • Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman) is an advantage.
    • Exposure to banking regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR).
