Job Summary:

As a Senior Tax Manager at FedEx, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing corporate tax matters across the APAC region. This includes ensuring tax compliance, optimizing tax strategies, managing risks, and providing advisory support on international tax matters. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors to align tax policies with business objectives.

What you will be responsible for:

1. Tax Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure full compliance with APAC and U.S. tax regulations, including corporate tax, indirect tax, and transfer pricing.
  • Oversee tax filings, audits, and regulatory reporting across multiple markets.
  • Monitor tax law changes and provide proactive recommendations.

2. Tax Planning & Risk Management

  • Develop and execute tax-efficient strategies for international transactions.
  • Identify and mitigate tax risks while ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Support cross-border tax planning, transfer pricing, and intercompany transactions.

3. Tax Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Manage tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, and financial reporting under GAAP/IFRS.
  • Ensure accurate tax liability assessments and effective budgeting.
  • Work closely with finance teams to align tax strategies with business goals.

4. Advisory & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on APAC tax matters.
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, and regional leadership teams to ensure compliance.
  • Manage relationships with tax authorities, auditors, and external advisors.

You will be a great fit if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with professional qualifications such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, or CIA
  • 8+ years of corporate taxation experience in public accounting firm or industry tax firm (i.e Big4) including 4 years’s experience in management position
  • Strong knowledge of regional tax laws and international tax regulations.
  • Experience in tax research, planning, and compliance, including technical writing ability.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese (written & spoken) is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
