Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs, quality, and efficiency.
  • Engage with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure competitive bidding, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Review and negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to mitigate risks and ensure the best interests of the company.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, project management, and legal teams, to align procurement activities with project requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards, and project timelines.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting procurement in the oil & gas sector.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in procurement, with a strong background in leading procurement teams within the oil & gas industry.
  • Proven expertise in EPCC tendering and package management.
  • Strong experience in preparing, reviewing, and evaluating tender documents for large-scale projects.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with a focus on cost savings and risk mitigation.
  • Strong understanding of procurement regulations, compliance standards, and best practices in Malaysia.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Experience in dealing with local and international suppliers within the oil & gas sector is an added advantage.
