Group Financial Controller
A prominent conglomerate with a diverse portfolio across multiple industries, established in the early 1960s and has grown significantly over the decades. As part of their growth strategy, they are looking for a highly experienced Group Financial Controller to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and drive strategic financial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the group’s financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
- Develop and implement financial controls, risk management policies, and internal audit frameworks to safeguard company assets.
- Provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions and long-term growth.
- Manage and optimize cash flow, treasury, and funding strategies to maintain financial stability.
- Oversee consolidation of financial statements across multiple subsidiaries or business units.
- Work closely with senior management, board members, and external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.
- Drive cost control initiatives and identify opportunities for financial efficiency improvements.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team to ensure strong execution of financial functions.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA, ACCA, or CFA qualification is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in financial leadership roles, with exposure to regional or group-level financial management.
- Strong technical expertise in IFRS/MFRS accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience in financial consolidation, treasury management, and risk assessment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Prior experience in industry, e.g., manufacturing, FMCG, financial services is an advantage.
