JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist and support the team in department planning and strategizing to improve company portfolio growth and profitability.
  • Assist the team to improve the portfolio mix that optimizes long term performance and return.
  • Monitoring the movement of the product, prices and underwriting in the market to ensure our product, pricing & underwriting always suit the market needs.
  • Monitor market environment & operational changes and reflect such in profitability projections.
  • Maintain good quality data and insightful analysis for strategy making.
  • Support in timely delivery of data and reports to our internal and external customers.
  • Identify issues in the portfolio and respond with corrective actions.
  • Look for opportunities on Pricing, Underwriting or/and Product and cascade strategies for execution.

REQUIREMENT:

  • Preferably a degree in quantitative discipline such as Actuarial, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Insurance or Risk Management etc.
  • High level of competency in MS Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, and Power Point).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Having experience or knowledge in programming languages such as R, SAS, SQL, or Python is an advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Result oriented and highly motivated to succeed in the insurance industry.
  • Good at learning new things and willing to think broadly and see the big picture.
  • Working in collaboration with other teams and be able to communicate effectively.
