JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist and support the team in department planning and strategizing to improve company portfolio growth and profitability.
- Assist the team to improve the portfolio mix that optimizes long term performance and return.
- Monitoring the movement of the product, prices and underwriting in the market to ensure our product, pricing & underwriting always suit the market needs.
- Monitor market environment & operational changes and reflect such in profitability projections.
- Maintain good quality data and insightful analysis for strategy making.
- Support in timely delivery of data and reports to our internal and external customers.
- Identify issues in the portfolio and respond with corrective actions.
- Look for opportunities on Pricing, Underwriting or/and Product and cascade strategies for execution.
REQUIREMENT:
- Preferably a degree in quantitative discipline such as Actuarial, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Insurance or Risk Management etc.
- High level of competency in MS Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, and Power Point).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Having experience or knowledge in programming languages such as R, SAS, SQL, or Python is an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Result oriented and highly motivated to succeed in the insurance industry.
- Good at learning new things and willing to think broadly and see the big picture.
- Working in collaboration with other teams and be able to communicate effectively.
