As the Marketing Manager for Wanderlust + Co, you will be driving the business through its global commercial landscape. Responsible for setting and implementing the strategic direction for the brand, you will work with various teams to maintain a consistent trajectory of growth – making decisions to optimise revenue, securing new market opportunities, determining the optimal pricing to balance profit with customer satisfaction, and directing all marketing operations.

As a seasoned professional with a proven track record in developing and achieving revenue and KPI targets, you will work hand in hand with the CEO and other team leads, to propel the business forward, overseeing brand growth and development, driving strategic partnerships, and creating impactful marketing strategies for the brand globally.

Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to) –

40% - Lead the Commercial Team and drive Marketing functions

  • Lead the Commercial Team in the Sales and Marketing functions - inspiring and guiding the teams, driving the overall calendar in line with D2C/B2B/offline launches and seasonal timelines
  • Responsible for creating the marketing calendar and ensuring that branded content across all channels (visual and voice) are consistent and in line with brand direction and campaign themes (both online and offline), as well as produced in a timely manner, aligning promotional efforts to meet monthly targets and business objectives
  • Strategize fresh campaigns and lead the team to create engaging moments on social media that will drive traffic and conversion, as well as grow a highly engaged community online and offline
  • Work with the production team to develop product branding plans, creating hero products and evergreen / classic moments which will generate a strong base income for the brand
  • Manage allocation of marketing budget to drive strong return on investment with lowest cost per acquisition
  • Establish credibility throughout the company and management as an effective leader and problem-solver to business challenges, as well as motivating the core commercial team

40% - Brand Building via PR, Events, Partnerships, Stores and CRM

  • Work closely with the CEO and other relevant leads, to devise growth strategies, e.g. new markets, new lines of business/concepts and merchandise ideas, PR events, pop-ups/new store openings, collaborations, that increase revenue and brand awareness, while enhancing the consumer experience across channels and each product category
  • Identify key moments and influencers to develop strategies and partnerships to meet sales and growth objectives across the brand’s .com as well as other drop ship platforms
  • Champion and drive more collaborations / partnerships / community moments to derive more brand loyalty, build a cult following, from initiatives such as monthly community events, to diffusion lines, focus groups to generate reviews, and more
  • Research, review and present changes to market, consumer trends and competitor’s activities, embedding this education into the team management and brand strategy
  • Oversee the brand experience in-store and manage marketing flow to stores (by managing the marketing and visuals team alongside Retail and Merchandising Managers), including collection launches, events, loyalty programs and visual merchandising - to ensure that the consumer journey offline is well presented and aligned to the online brand values and persona
  • Conduct regular store visits to check in on offline marketing presence and brand presentation

20% Reporting and Business Analysis

  • Oversee in-house performance marketing initiatives to drive positive ROAS to .com site, dropship platforms or offline stores, in accordance to marketing / sales objectives
  • Reviewing weekly, quarterly and yearly reports and guiding the team to achieve D2C/B2B revenue and traffic targets, with a firm handle on data, executing effective campaigns, collaborations and events according to timelines, monthly targets and business objectives
