Senior Validation Engineer
Responsible for FPGA validation and debug on PCB including lab hands-on in to perform system/platform level fault isolation to root cause silicon failures and defect modes.
• Generate debug and functional test contents to run experiments on FPGA silicon.
• Provide technical support in board setup and performing electrical/ digital circuit debug including waveform probing, voltage, current, frequency, temperature measurements etc. Perform data analysis and present observations.
• Develop functional test contents, run simulation and perform silicon checkout to contain issues and improve product quality. Prepare and present data to engineering team as required.
Job Requirements:
• Candidate must possess a BS/MS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent, with at least 5 to 6 years of industry experience in IC testing or equivalent field.
• Proven experience in FPGA/ circuit level analysis in post-silicon debug/troubleshooting, including hands-on experience with ATE tester platforms or validation benches.
• Knowledgeable in device level CMOS and analog circuits with strong digital logic knowledge and good analytical, problem solving/debugging skills.
• Must have experience in Verilog / VHDL, Quartus Prime RTL generation including timing closure and run waveform simulation using ModelSim. Scripting languages such as TCL, Python etc. are highly preferred.
• Familiar with carrying out measurements for various IC timing/frequency/current/ voltage parameters is an added advantage.
• Candidate must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms (English Language)
• Candidate must be available to work on-site in PG16 Penang location.
