About the Job
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Sales to join our team at Park Inn by Radisson Putrajaya, a premier hotel offering luxurious accommodations and exceptional guest services. As the Director of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, establishing strong relationships with clients, and leading the sales team to achieve targets. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent leadership abilities and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry to strategically promote our property and deliver outstanding sales results.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement comprehensive sales strategies to maximize revenue and market share for the hotel.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners, and other stakeholders to drive business to the hotel.
- Team Leadership & Training: Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales team to consistently meet and exceed sales targets. Provide training and development to enhance team performance.
- Market Analysis: Monitor and evaluate market trends, competitors, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
- Revenue Generation: Develop and oversee tactical sales plans to increase bookings across all channels (corporate, group, and leisure).
- Negotiation & Contracting: Lead negotiations for high-value contracts and events, ensuring profitability for the hotel while maintaining excellent client relations.
- Reporting: Prepare sales forecasts, monthly reports, and performance reviews, providing actionable insights to senior management.
- Brand Representation: Act as a brand ambassador, promoting the hotel’s image and ensuring alignment of sales initiatives with brand standards.

What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial position.
- Leadership Skills: Strong team leader with the ability to inspire, mentor, and guide a team toward success.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Results-Oriented: A strategic thinker who is highly motivated to drive revenue and achieve business objectives.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze data, understand market trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Negotiation Expertise: Proven ability to negotiate effectively and close high-value contracts.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field. Advanced sales certifications or ongoing professional development is a plus (e.g., Certified Hospitality Sales Professional - CHSP).
- Sales Strategy and Execution: Proven ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies that drive room occupancy, group sales, and corporate partnerships. Proficient in sales tracking software to monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed.
