- Create and update menus based on seasonal ingredients, customer preferences, and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage kitchen staff, delegate tasks, and provide training to maintain a high standard of service.
- Monitor food stock levels, reduce waste, and maintain cost efficiency while ensuring sufficient supply.
- Enforce food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations in accordance with health department standards.
- Work closely with front-of-house staff, suppliers, and management to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Conduct regular checks on food quality, taste, and presentation before serving guests.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is in good working condition and report maintenance needs.
- Address special dietary requests and ensure guest satisfaction through high-quality food service.
