Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service in the logistics industry? Our client is looking for an Ocean Customer Service Specialist to manage customer inquiries, ensure smooth operations, and support end-to-end freight forwarding services.

Job Overview:

  • Act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and escalate customer complaints when necessary.
  • Process customer instructions accurately and on time, including warranting and warehouse receipts.
  • Prepare and follow up on Work Order Instructions to ensure seamless execution.
  • Handle claims and disputes, escalating to appropriate managers as required.
  • Assist with reporting tasks and keep customers updated on work order progress.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for warranting, working closely with Operations and Exchange Compliance Manager.
  • Maintain and update the logistics system, providing regular inventory reports to customers and banks.
  • Ensure accuracy of reports before sharing with external parties.
  • Process timely and accurate billing, including job costing in ERP systems.
  • Engage with customers to ensure timely payments and minimize overdue invoices.
  • Clarify invoices and inform customers of additional charges to ensure smooth payment processing.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records, updating job information as needed.
  • Support ad-hoc assignments as required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in customer service, logistics, or freight forwarding is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and reporting tools is an advantage.

  • Freight Forwarding or Shipping Customer Service: 2 years (Required)
