Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative IT Assistant to join our team in Miri, Malaysia. As an IT Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our organization's technology infrastructure and providing excellent customer service to end-users. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic IT environment and contribute to the smooth operation of our systems.
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network issues
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and peripherals
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems in a timely and efficient manner
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement new technologies and improve existing systems
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets and support tickets
- Assist in the administration of user accounts and access permissions
- Conduct basic network troubleshooting and maintenance tasks
- Provide training and guidance to users on IT systems and software applications
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives as assigned
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Diploma or equivalent in Information Technology or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT support role
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems
- Basic understanding of network administration and IT security principles
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work flexibly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
