Consultant Biochemical Molecular Genetics
Woodston Personnel have an excellent opportunity for Consultant Biochemical Molecular Genetics with our client in Saudi Arabia.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complies with the Joint Commission International (JCI), American Association of Blood banks (AABB), College of American Pathologists (CAP), Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Health care Institutions (CBAHI), ISO 15189, National Guard Laboratory & Hospitals Standards.
Evaluates, updates and develops new develops new Laboratory tests/techniques in clinical metabolic biochemical genetics, molecular/genomic related to metabolic pathology. Familiar with molecular techniques and related bioinformatic analysis of metabolic biochemical genetic.
Participates in educational programs for the staff, medical technology students, interns, residents, fellows, PH.D. student and participates in continuing education for laboratory staff and for staff physicians.
Provides wide range diagnostic platforms of biochemical/molecular to cover the services of HOPLC, MS/MS, LC/MS and GC/MS
Plan, design and implement biochemical genetics high throughout various laboratory techniques.
Approves and monitor labs send out requests to referral centers and work to localize these tests according to time plan.
Reviews all critical values of laboratory tests and take proper action.
Assists in the preparation and updating of laboratory manuals, QC, records and validation process.
Participates in research projects per established policy.
Monitor and check on regular basis the compliance of the staff by the quality and safety standards and hospital policy bylaws.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Chairman.

Education:
Must be a graduate of a recognized medical school, and have American Board Certification in Clinical Molecular enetics and Genomics or related specialty with appropriate licensure practice - Essential
Work Experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a CAP accredited laboratory after PH.D. certification; this may include subspecialty training in metabolic Biochemical Genetic services - Essential
Language and Computer Skills:
English - Level I - Essential
Arabic - Essential
Computer - Lever I - Essential
