Mechanical Design Lead

Job description 1. Design, fabricate and review thermal chuck, probe card and other module designs for various ATE machines 2. Trouble shoots, upgrades and maintains existing ATE system designs 3. Initiates need for new product development based on customer specifications 4. Validate new designs and design changes to meet customer requirements 5. Gain lessons learned from failures and prioritize continuous improvements 6. Good time management to meet customer deadlines and deliver solutions with quality in mind 7. Generate status report when required 8. Support marketing / sales activities with technical information/meetings 9. Provide support to Planner, Procurement, QA, QC and Production Departments with technical information 10. Manage and train up mechanical design engineers to do ATE designs 11. Support internal and external customer communications in regards to all aspects of mechanical design for ATE Skills 1. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of relevant experience with expertise in the probe card, chuck and ATE design 2. Extensive and specialized knowledge of technologies and concepts for design and integration of ATE probe cards, chucks and other ATE modules 3. Thermal simulation and design knowledge is preferred 4. Excellent oral, written and presentation skills for interfacing with senior management, customers and mentoring of junior engineers
