Electrical Supervisor (Chargeman A4), O&M

Responsibilities: - Electrical System Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems, including distribution boards, wiring, and electrical appliances. Identify and resolve electrical faults or issues promptly to ensure the safety, efficiency, and functionality of electrical installations. - Ensuring Compliance: Ensure all electrical installations and maintenance work comply with the relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards (e.g., wiring regulations, electrical safety guidelines). Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement the necessary adjustments to maintain ongoing compliance. - Emergency Response: Respond promptly to electrical emergencies such as power outages, electrical fires, or equipment failures. Take appropriate actions to minimize downtime and ensure safety during emergency situations. - Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of electrical inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs. Prepare detailed reports on the electrical system’s condition, highlighting areas for improvement or upgrades. - Supervision and Training: Supervise and guide electrical technicians or assistants involved in maintenance and repair tasks. Provide ongoing training or guidance to maintenance staff on electrical safety practices and procedures. - Budgeting and Planning: Assist in the preparation of budgets for electrical maintenance and repair activities. Participate in the planning and implementation of upgrades or enhancements to electrical systems, aligned with building requirements and technological advancements. - Communication: Liaise effectively with building management, contractors, and residents on electrical matters. Communicate maintenance schedules, outage notifications, and safety precautions clearly to all stakeholders. Requirements: - Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification. - A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance. - Possess a valid A4 Chargeman Certificate from Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission of Malaysia). - In-depth knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
