Job Summary You will be responsible for delivering patient care in the critical care unit, managing treatment, supervising subordinates, and providing relevant information during consultant’s rounds. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessments, psychological support, medication administration, nutritional and fluid monitoring, life support management, and emergency resuscitation. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical teams, ensure accurate documentation, handle abnormal lab results, support other units, and manage end-of-life procedures according to patient beliefs. Maintain accurate and confidential records, uphold patient privacy and dignity, advocate for patient needs, provide emotional support, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and educate patients and families about treatment plans. Guide and mentor new staff, ensure timely and accurate medication administration following safety protocols, maintain clean medication areas, manage drug inventory, ensure proper documentation, and promptly report any discrepancies. Assist in unit maintenance, adhere to infection control and safety guidelines, participate in quality improvement and continuous education, ensure accurate billing, follow institutional policies, support customer service initiatives, and undertake additional tasks as assigned. Requirement Minimum Diploma in Nursing. Possess active Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) & registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board. Proficient in computer operations and able to write and communicate well in English. Experienced in cardiology, cardiothoracic and cardiovascular nursing. Proficient in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Infection Control Guidelines.
