About the role

Varia Land Sdn. Bhd., a leading real estate development company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. This full-time role will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and ensuring the financial health of our residential sales division.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for the residential sales division
  • Oversee the accounting and financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Analyse financial data and provide strategic advice to the management team to support decision-making
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to improve financial management and mitigate risks
  • Coordinate with the corporate finance team to ensure the integration of the residential sales division's financial activities
  • Manage the finance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure their professional development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address financial challenges and opportunities

    • What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or CIMA) is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a finance management role, preferably in the real estate or property development industry
  • Excellent financial analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights
  • Strong understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting, cash flow management, and financial reporting
  • Proficient in the use of financial software and spreadsheet applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage and develop a finance team
