Your duties and responsibilities as Purchase Manager are as follows:-
- Responsible and accountable for planning, directing and managing all procurement activities in the Company in a timely and cost effective way while maintaining appropriate quality standards and specifications. This includes purchase of fish, fish fry, feed, trash fish, farm tools/hardware, equipments and machineries;
- Managing the maintenance of office/manufacturing equipment and machinery.
- Responsible for purchase planning, consistent supply and ensuring purchasing schedule is met according to plan. This includes working with finance, farms, operations and sales/marketing department to develop budgets, viable purchase/harvesting schedule as well as plan for any additional capital expenditure requirements for the company;
- Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets.
- Working to improve purchasing systems and processes.
- Maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date purchase records in accordance with the company’s policy and negotiated terms and conditions;
- Maintain an updated knowledge of market prices and trends of purchase products in order to assess present and future availability of products and to make recommendations for the future;
- Develop and implement purchasing policies, procedures and improvement processes to improve efficiency of operations;
- Develop and manage relationship with suppliers. This includes identifying potential new suppliers in order to secure more cost effective sources of products without compromising on quality;
- Assist finance department in resolving any purchase related issues/questions;
- Work to accomplish other tasks as and when required by the Director in line with achieving goals and objectives of the Group.
