Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Production Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems (with expertise in SAP), and supply chain management. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing production processes, ensuring efficiency, maintaining high-quality standards, and coordinating logistics operations. You will play a key role in managing shipments and working closely with transportation teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Production Process Optimization:
  • Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance production output and quality.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and recommend solutions to ensure smooth operations.
  • Well verse with OEE and down time calculations.
  1. SAP Systems & Production Planning:
  • Utilize SAP to manage production planning, inventory control, and materials management.
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust plans to meet demand and production goals.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure materials and resources are available for production.
  1. Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination:
  • Oversee and manage logistics operations, including coordinating shipments, inventory control, and transportation.
  • Work closely with transportation teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Ensure proper management of supply chain activities to prevent delays and disruptions.
  1. Quality Control & Compliance:
  • Ensure that all production processes meet industry and company quality standards.
  • Lead efforts to achieve continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, or similar quality initiatives.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain product quality.
  1. Cross-Functional Team Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, logistics) to ensure production goals are met.
  • Communicate production schedules, resource needs, and project status to stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and support to production teams to enhance performance and efficiency.
  1. Reporting & Documentation:
  • Prepare production reports, inventory status updates, and logistics performance metrics.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for production processes, inventory levels, and quality control results.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related field) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production or logistics-related role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in production systems and processes, with a focus on efficiency and optimization.
    • Strong working knowledge of SAP (especially modules related to production planning, materials management, and logistics).
    • Solid understanding of supply chain management and logistics operations.
    • Experience with quality assurance programs and methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
