Job Overview

UCSI Schools is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Expat Humanities Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons in subjects such as History, Geography, Global Perspectives, and Social Studies, fostering students’ critical thinking, research, and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Humanities lessons based on the school’s curriculum.
  • Develop students’ understanding of historical events, geographical concepts, cultures, and global issues.
  • Encourage critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and independent research.
  • Foster discussions and debates on social, political, and environmental topics.
  • Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and reports while providing constructive feedback.
  • Integrate technology and real-world case studies into lesson plans.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Humanities curriculum and interdisciplinary learning.
  • Participate in school activities, including extracurricular programs and school events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Education, or a related field.
  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Humanities or related subjects.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Experience teaching the Cambridge curriculum (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Passion for global issues, critical thinking, and student engagement.
