Client Relationship Management:

Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Executive to join our cargo team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, ensuring smooth cargo operations, and driving business growth in the cargo and logistics sector. This role combines sales, customer service, and logistics management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including importers, exporters, and freight forwarders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients' cargo needs, addressing inquiries, and providing updates on shipments.
  • Understand client requirements and provide tailored logistics solutions.

Sales and Business Development:

  • Identify new business opportunities by prospecting potential clients in the cargo and logistics industry.
  • Promote the company's cargo services, including air freight, sea freight, trucking, and warehousing.
  • Negotiate rates and service terms, securing long-term contracts and sales agreements.

Cargo Planning and Coordination:

  • Coordinate the movement of goods, ensuring shipments meet deadlines and client expectations.
  • Work closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods.
  • Assist clients with documentation such as bills of lading, customs paperwork, and invoices.

Problem-Solving and Issue Resolution:

  • Address issues during transportation, such as delays, damage, or lost shipments, and find solutions to minimize impact.
  • Handle claims and ensure efficient processing.

Performance Tracking and Reporting:

  • Monitor and track shipment performance, providing clients with regular updates and reports.
  • Prepare reports on sales targets, client activity, and operational issues.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and improve service offerings.

Collaboration with Internal Teams:

  • Work closely with cargo operations, customs, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure smooth coordination of shipments.
  • Communicate client-specific requirements or concerns to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Market Research and Industry Trends:

  • Stay updated with industry trends, new regulations, and competitors' offerings.
  • Analyze market needs and identify areas for service improvement or expansion.

Client Billing and Invoicing:

  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing for services rendered.
  • Follow up on payments, handle billing discrepancies, and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.

Skills Required:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the cargo industry, including logistics, shipping regulations, and documentation.
  • Ability to handle complex problems and find solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sales-driven with the ability to meet targets and grow accounts.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Accounting or similar
