Align Fasteners Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is in the production of customized fastener solutions, including screws, bolts, rivets, and cold form parts made from wire-type materials. We cater to OEM and ODM customers across diverse sectors such as automotive, electrical and electronics (EMS), engineering, furniture and other industries.
Key Responsibility:
- Track inventory levels and ensure sufficient raw materials are available to meet production schedules.
- Coordinate with purchasing to order materials in advance, avoiding shortages.
- Implement inventory control strategies to minimize waste and excess stock.
- Monitor incoming materials for quality and consistency in collaboration with quality teams.
- Develop and maintain the production schedule to meet customer orders and deadlines.
- Align production schedules with machine availability and mold readiness.
- Optimize production flow to reduce downtime and bottlenecks.
- Adjust plans based on changes in priorities, machine breakdowns, or delays.
- Monitor machine capacity and efficiency to maximize output.
- Schedule preventive maintenance to avoid unexpected breakdowns.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure machines are operational.
- Track mold availability and readiness for production.
- Plan mold changes efficiently to minimize machine downtime.
- Ensure proper storage, cleaning, and maintenance of molds.
- Collaborate with tooling teams to address mold repairs or modifications.
- Communicate production plans with the production, quality, and logistics teams.
- Work closely with the sales and customer service team to meet delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with supervisors to monitor daily progress and resolve issues promptly.
- Prepare and analyze production reports to track efficiency, scrap rates, and productivity.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Provide feedback to management on production trends and challenges.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards during production.
- Maintain proper documentation of production processes and adjustments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Diploma in Production Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in production planning or a related role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficient in production planning software and ERP systems.
- Good knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP).
- Understanding of machine and mold capacity, maintenance schedules, and efficiency metrics.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate across departments.
- Basic understanding of quality standards and compliance.
- Attention to detail and precision in planning.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Flexibility to adapt plans as per changing production needs.
