Job Description Summary

This role will be pivotal in supporting the APAC Legal and Compliance team across the APAC region and the APAC General Counsel in developing new or building upon any existing APAC Legal and Compliance resources, databases and toolkits. The role will assist the regional Senior Counsel’s and Compliance team members to provide services to their existing stakeholders across the business.

Job Description

Key responsibilities/essential functions include:

  • Support the Legal team on a range of issues across the APAC region, including drafting, interviews, research, analysis and opinions
  • Partner with the regional lawyers and compliance team members on other key initiatives and projects.
  • Partner with regional lawyers and compliance team members to develop new / enhance existing APAC legal database on "Box" platform and include tools such as
    • Precedent documents / agreements for the region;
    • Training materials, both what the team has presented and that have been delivered to the team;
    • Agreements clauses including:
      • Model Clauses; and
      • Problematic clauses where disputes have arisen;
    • a risk folder that includes a copy of the relevant DoA's;
    • POA / Approved signatories' folder; and
    • any other relevant policies / procedures – regional and global.

Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuing or completed Bachelor's degree
  • Any experience in Legal Operations role will be added advantage
  • Strong communication skills & knowledge of local language to work with business leaders, and a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Strong client service orientation and passion for problem solving
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office and other applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in spoken/ written English and one other language
  • Good time management
