About the role

Modernria Plastic Industries (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team in Sungai Jawi, Penang. As a full-time position, this role will oversee all financial operations and strategic decision-making for the company, playing a crucial part in our continued growth and success.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the company's financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and provide recommendations to senior management
  • Oversee the financial planning and analysis function, including the development of key performance indicators and financial models
  • Manage the company's cash flow and liquidity, and implement strategies to optimise financial resources
  • Lead and develop the finance team, providing guidance, training, and performance management
  • Collaborate with other departments to support the achievement of the company's strategic objectives

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior finance role, preferably within the manufacturing industry
  • Proven track record in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in the use of financial management software and tools
  • Thorough understanding of relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial best practices
