Job description & responsibilities: • Reviewing construction plans, taking off and preparing quantity requirements. • Attend tender interview. • Update and monitor development cost and projection cost. • Handling progress claim and progress payment. • Advising managers on improvements and new strategies. • Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets. • Travelling from office to various sites as required. • Analyse costs for maintenance and additional building needs. • Develop and maintain working relationships with contractors / consultants / suppliers. • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect or consultant. • Responsible for filing and other documentations management. Job Requirements: • Candidate must possess at least Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Engineering / Management or related field. • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. • Proficient in computer skills, ie Microsoft Office & AutoCAD. • Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports. • Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets; strong estimating and financial analysis skills. • In-depth understanding of construction, materials, pricing and industry. • Candidates with 5 years related working experience at construction industry will be an added advantage. • Self-motivated person and able to work independently.
