Barcode System Operation: Set up and maintain barcode labels for all products, ensuring correct product codes, prices, and descriptions. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the barcode scanning system. Ensure barcode scanners and related hardware are functional and calibrated. Train staff on the proper use of the barcode system and related equipment. Data Entry and Accuracy: Input and update product details, pricing, and promotions into the system. Ensure all product entries are error-free and adhere to company standards. Monitor for any data inconsistencies and resolve them promptly. Sales and Transaction Support: Assist the sales team by ensuring products are correctly labeled and scannable at checkout. Provide support in resolving pricing or scanning issues during transactions. Collaborate with the cashier team to ensure smooth billing operations. System Maintenance and Updates: Work with IT or software vendors to update and maintain the barcode system software. Ensure system security by managing access controls and regularly backing up data.
