Job Requirements: 1. Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree, in Mechanical Engineering or Electronic Engineering. 2. 3-5 years of hands-on experience in PCB design. 3. Proficiency in AutoCAD, UCAM, CAM, and Cadence software for PCB manufacturing design. 4. Knowledge of PBC Design Technology, signal processing, embedded systems, and manufacturing processes is needed. 5. Experience in tooling design for PCB manufacturing is highly desirable. 6. Courses in PCB design, circuit theory, digital and analog electronics, and CAD software (such as Altium Designer, Eagle, or OrCAD) are highly valuable. 7. Certifications like IPC Designer Certification (CID or CID+) can add value, as they cover industry standards and best practices for PCB design and layout. 8. Strong organizational skills and able to work in a team. Job Descriptions: 1. Lead the design of new products, from initial concept through to a comprehensive product design package, ensuring alignment with both quality and cost targets. 2. Conduct in-depth scoping and collaborative reviews with key stakeholders to identify risks within new product introductions (NPI) and establish robust, proactive risk mitigation strategies. 3. Analyze and evaluate customer Gerber and drawing files to develop acceptance criteria and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) standards. 4. Execute comprehensive design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control Plans (CP), and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) requirements for automotive and class III product lines. 5. Ensure the delivery and verification of the complete product design package—including artwork, tooling, jigs, fixtures, and manufacturing programs—for both prototype and full-scale production. 6. Select and assess materials to align with new product design specifications and requirements. 7. Assist in the selection of new machinery to support evolving process capabilities. 8. Approve and manage product design documents, ensuring stringent revision control. 9. Provide expertise in product design to facilitate sample ship releases and resolve technical issues during NPI implementation. 10. Apply strategic design adjustments to achieve product quality, yield, and DFM requirements. 11. Offer innovative design solutions to resolve NPI or process flow challenges promptly and effectively. 12. Integrate an understanding of machine capabilities and material properties into the process and design flow to maximize yield and quality. 13. Conduct thorough sample shipment reviews to ensure all customer specifications and product requirements are met. 14. Champion continuous improvement within existing product design flows, developing new capabilities that align with both quality and productivity objectives. 15. Enhance DFM processes for both current and future process requirements, incorporating feedback from internal and external customers to meet comprehensive manufacturing and design needs. 16. Optimize the product design workflow through automation scripting, such as DRC tools. 17. Facilitate effective post-project retrospectives to capture learnings, drive continuous improvement, and prevent recurring issues. 18. Continuously pursue advancements in CAD tools and workflows to support emerging product design requirements, while mastering the Qdos standard design tools, including CAM350, UCAM, Cadence, and AutoCAD.
