The position holder will play a pivotal role in leading the center’s program and activities, involves fostering communication with local stakeholders, inviting beneficiaries to participate in the center activities and supporting the Project Coordinator in ensuring the effective delivery of programs and center management. SPECIFIC KNOWLDEGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES 1. Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes. 2. Good understanding of the procurement process including negotiation with third parties. 3. Good knowledge of programme and project management methods including knowledge of budgeting. 4. Sufficient seniority and credibility to advise project teams on their projects in relation to the programme. 5. The ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems. 6. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, advanced Excel, and PowerPoint). 7. Willingness to travel regularly and in difficult circumstances. 8. Able to work independently and take initiative. 9. Excellent communication skills. 10. Demonstrated interest in NGO works and people living with HIV, and knowledge of HIV, global health/development sector. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES . Project Lead: • Lead the planning and execution of the Sarawak & Sabah Health Access Programme (SHAPE), Teratak Kasih Tok Nan (TKTN) activities and other MAF assistance programme in Borneo. • Ensure alignment of project goals with organizational objectives and community health needs. • Facilitate regular project meetings to review progress, address challenges, and strategize for future activities. • Collaborate with team members and colleagues at HQ if requires, to integrate advocacy message into various activities. 2. Planning, Development, and Learning: • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resources, and key milestones for each initiative. • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to identify best practices and integrate lessons learned into project implementation. • Design and conduct training sessions for team members and stakeholders to enhance capacity and knowledge related to health programs. • Organise and coordinate events, workshops and awareness campaigns related to advocacy • Ensure the smooth execution of activities, from planning to post-event evaluation • Collaborate with team members and colleagues at HQ if requires, to integrate advocacy message into various activities • Draft and coordinate the production and dissemination of various programs including external reports, technical briefs, infographics, program updates, social media updates and success stories. 3. Stakeholder Engagement: • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with community partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to enhance collaboration and support for projects. • Engage with key populations and community members to ensure their needs and perspectives are incorporated into program design and delivery. • Represent the organization at community meetings, workshops, and conferences to promote project initiatives and gather feedback. 4. Financial Management: • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and in compliance with funding requirements. • Monitor expenditures and financial reports, identifying any discrepancies and addressing them promptly. • Assist in the preparation of funding proposals and reports to secure ongoing financial support for projects. 5. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting: • Establish and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess project outcomes and impact. • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to project performance, ensuring timely reporting to stakeholders. • Carry out site visits to health facilities and other organisations when necessary. • Prepare comprehensive reports for funders, highlighting project achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement. 6. Additional Responsibilities: • Programme ROI and Impact: To assist MAF HQ in preparing a special Return on Investment and Impact Analysis reports for all MAF external grant funds (restricted and unrestricted) to funders and donors within agreed timelines, ensuring accuracy, quality, and effective collaboration with the SIIRU Department. • To assist in conduction the Impact Assessment for MAF Borneo initiatives, showcasing measurable outcomes aligned with donor objectives and demonstrating improvements in health, socio-economic development, income levels, education, and mental health progress, etc. • Stay updated on health trends, policies, and best practices relevant to SHAPE, TKTN and MAF assistance programme in Borneo. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and innovative ideas from team members and stakeholders. • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Resource Mobilisation Manager or Head of Operations. • Build and strengthen partnerships to enhance the impact of advocacy initiatives • Support implementing partners to develop their strategy and internal capacity. • Promote networking and collaboration with partners through meetings, workshops, seminars, conferences, and joint occasions such as World AIDS Day, International AIDS Conference, etc with the aim to seek support for MAF and for people living with HIV by addressing issues and priorities Carry out any other duties as may be directed by the Manager, Resource Mobilisation and Executive Director of the MAF to further the aims of MAF.
