Job Summary: As a Security Officer you are responsible for implementing, and overseeing security protocols and procedures to ensure the protection of personnel, assets, and facilities within an organization. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of security regulations, risk assessment, emergency response planning, and the ability to foster a safety culture throughout the organization. Due to visa limitations, only locals will be considered. Key Responsibilities: - Safety and Security : execute a comprehensive safety and security strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives. Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities and create proactive measures to mitigate them. - Policy and Procedure : implement safety and security policies, procedures, and guidelines that comply with relevant laws, industry standards, and best practices. Ensure these policies are communicated effectively to all relevant stakeholders. - Compliance and Regulations: Keep abreast of local, regional, and national safety and security regulations, ensuring the organization's adherence to these standards. Collaborate with regulatory authorities as necessary. - Emergency Response : maintain robust emergency response plans for various scenarios, including natural disasters, accidents, and security breaches. Conduct drills and training exercises to ensure personnel are adequately prepared. - Incident Investigation and Reporting: Lead investigations into safety and security incidents, accidents, and near misses. Generate comprehensive reports outlining root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence. - Security Systems: Stay up-to-date with the latest safety and security technologies, including surveillance systems, access control, and alarms. Evaluate and recommend suitable technologies to enhance organizational safety. - Crisis Management: In the event of a crisis or emergency, act as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, coordinate response efforts, and provide regular updates to management. - Assist Department with ad hoc assignment and projects. Qualifications and Skills: - Experience in Luxury Hotel or Resort Environment. - SPM or STPM - Proven experience in security roles, preferably in a Resort/Hotels or industrial setting. - In-depth knowledge of safety and security regulations, industry standards, and best practices. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with employees, management, and external partners. - Certification in relevant areas such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified - Protection Professional (CPP) is a plus. - Proficiency in using safety and security-related software and technologies.
