Position Summary
The role involves overseeing all forwarding activities for import and export shipments, as well as transferring export/import cargo between MABkargo, POS Aviation, Raya Airways, GTR AirAsia, and MY Jest, including the loading and unloading of cargo.
Key Accountability
  • Report to ML - KLIA Branch - Forwarding Ops.
  • Prepare and submit customs EDI declarations, monitor the status of all EDI submissions, and hand over any customs-related queries to the Forwarding Officer.
  • Collect cash for terminal charges from walk-in customers and hand it over to the Forwarding Officer along with the supporting documents (terminal charge slip, airway bill copy, and customs paperless copy).
  • Transfer export/import cargo between the MLSB warehouse and the Advance Cargo Centre (and vice versa), including the loading and unloading of cargo.
  • Open a new job file and hand it over to the Forwarding Officer for finalizing and closing the job file.
  • Ensure the safety of customer cargo and the proper condition of company equipment.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the superior related to operational matters to ensure the efficiency of operational activities.
  • Ensure operations process is complied with ISO 9001:2015 (QMS), ISO 14001:2015 (EMS) and ISO 45001:2018 (QHSMS).
Qualification
  • A minimum of SPM/SPMV/DVM/STPM or a related field
  • Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan (JPJ) License D
  • At least minimum 1 year of experience in Forwarding or a related field.
Areas of Experience
  • Knowledge on all import and export Malaysian Custom regulation and clearance skill.
  • Knowledgeable to handle LMS (MABkargo system), EDI, CCN, LABEL and PC system
  • Knowledgeable on all Airline cargo handling skill.
  • Having the skill to be able to identify Dangerous Goods class.
